CCEYA

The Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA) is Ontario’s legislation that regulates child care centers, home child care, and early years programs. It was introduced to replace the older Day Nurseries Act and modernize child care standards in line with current research and practices. The Act sets requirements for licensing, staff‑to‑child ratios, health and safety, and program quality, while emphasizing the importance of supporting children’s development, well‑being, and inclusion. By establishing clear rules and accountability, the CCEYA ensures that families can trust licensed child care providers to deliver safe, nurturing, and high‑quality environments for young children

CPR + First Aid

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a technique used when someone’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped. It involves chest compressions and rescue breaths to maintain blood circulation and oxygen flow until professional help arrives. "First aid" refers to the immediate care given to an injured or ill person before medical treatment is available. It includes actions such as controlling bleeding, treating burns, managing choking, and using an automated external defibrillator (AED)
